You will want to create a brand, even if your company is large or small. A brand is what people imagine when they think of your company. It is the entire experience that a customer has with a company and its products or services.
We all have brands that we choose over and over again – a certain soda, style of jeans, or type of mayonnaise. The way that brand made gathered your attention is through time, consistency, and repetition. For example, everyone recognizes McDonald’s because of their branding. You might think McDonald’s doesn’t need to advertise, but they spent over 624 million dollars on ad expenditures last year. And they have done this for decades. When business is good you should advertise, when business is challenging you must advertise.
McDonald’s understands that staying top of mind keeps customers returning. They are also consistent with their logo of the golden arches. Even toddlers recognize that simple symbol. Keeping advertising simple and consistent has worked for McDonald’s and can work for your company as well. A brand identity helps people remember your business and choose you over and over again.
