A good or bad day?

How do you judge if you’ve had a good day? Frequently, we look at our feelings or emotions and then determine that if we felt happy or positive that it was a good day. And if our emotions were down or we felt frustration, anger, or aggravation, we may judge that time as bad.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably wondered why you can’t always be happy or why there can’t always be bliss. Well, life is full of ups and downs. Our emotions often jerk us around like a fast roller coaster. Even holy people, like those in the Bible have felt this way before. Sometimes we look at people in the scriptures and think they never had issues or problems. We picture people on stained glass or imagine a Jesus wrapped in bubble wrap who couldn’t feel anything similar to what we experience. This isn’t true.

From Jonah to John and even Moses, the people we read of in the Bible were just that – people. They faced their emotional issues and often created more turmoil with their decisions. We can learn from their examples. There is something you can do to process those negative emotions so that you stay healthy. That anxiety, stress, frustration, anger, fear, or sadness doesn’t have to lead to lasting pain. Listen to this new podcast that discusses the roller coaster of emotions and how to handle the plethora of feelings that life gives you. As you listen, you will discover a way to freeze in the midst of strife and reframe your day. Here’s the link for this short listen!
